Extra Credit Opportunities

Math:
• Do worksheet 9.6. Find the area of the shaded parts on the front side. On the back, shade in the boxes with your own design, then show your work on the lined space to find the area. Earn up to 5 extra credit points.

Science:
• Design an experiment you can do at home. Include the materials and procedure. Don’t forget the controlled and the manipulated variable. Earn up to 5 points for a designed experiment. Do the experiment at home and write up a Big Four response for 10 more points. (What did you do, what did you wonder, what did you learn, what will you do next).

Poetry:
• Write a song or poem with at least 100 words. After I check it, perform the song or recite the poem for the class for up to 5 extra credit points.

Art:
• Design a cover for our yearbook. This is due by Wednesday 6/3. Earn up to 3 points.

Other:
• Make a timeline of your life starting at age 5 and ending at age 15. What did you do in the past? What will be in the future? Include at least 25 events. Earn up to 10 extra points.



• Old extra credit assignments will be accepted through Friday, 6/5.
• All assignments are due by 6/10.
